What can I expect?
This is a time where we can have a conversation about what you are looking for in a counselor and what your goals are for therapy. This can include your scheduling needs as well. I will share about myself and you can decide if it is the right fit and if you would like to schedule an intake appointment.
Our consultation will be either phone or virtual.
For the first session or two we will focus on you and what has brought you in to therapy. What are your goals and what would you like to work on? We will spend time discussing what you enjoy about life and aspects that are going well. This is a time of getting to know one another in a way.
Depending on your needs, availability, and preference this is the start of weekly sessions. However, we are able to space them out more if needed. This allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship that is important in our work together and for you to feel comfortable in therapy.
Sessions are 53 minutes long.Â
